This range hides a curious fact, in the early to middle 80's due to the economy instability, the brazilian government had forbidden the raise of prices with the "price freezing amendment" to control the inflation, so a index named "SUNAB chart" (sort of National Supplies Superintendence) was created to catalog and control all materials and product made, with their technical, design characteristics and type codes, so nobody could raise its markup and final prices along all the product route, from manufacturer to the stores to avoid legal fines and penalties.

So the brazilian market in the 80's watched an explosion of product releases in all categories by the manufacturers to increase prices under a legal way, avoiding troubles with the National Supplies Superintendence XDDD
There were no manufacturer which hadn't an unbelievable range of products, dozens of versions, finishes, colors, names, models, power rates and so on. A product had launched, it must been registered into the SUNAB as its price variation, but in the following months the inflaction had decreased the money value and the manufacturer couldn't adjust its prices unless into another new product, so it must made changes in its product to give it a new identity out of the previous design specifications to put updated prices, that's until the next months when everything had happen again. As the maket had accepted this plot very well, buying everything (in the crazzy mode on), the SUNAB chart had took an insolit amount of data, impossible to control, the price freezing amendment didn't work as expected and were ended.
